CAPTAIN ASSISTED CHARTER PLAN
What is a "Captain Assisted" Charter?
FEEL THE WIND IN YOUR HAIR! LEAVE THE "REAL WORLD" BEHIND! BECOME A PRIATE! LET'S GO SAILING!
Have a "hands on" sailing adventure. You are involved with every aspect of running the yacht from provisioning the galley to hoisting the sails. No experience? We will show you the ropes.
If you have been considering bareboating but feel you lack the expertise, this is your chance to run a large yacht without the liability!
Let Captain Roger and mate Ellen guide you. They will instruct
you in every aspect of sailing. Even if you have bareboated before, sailing on Illusion II is like driving a fine car. You have all the luxury and comfort that the traditional bareboat cannot give. If you are an experienced sailor, Captain Roger will remain in the background.

Brief Description of Plan: This plan is a great opportunity for sailors considering bareboating, but feel they lack the expertise; a chance to run a large yacht without the liability. This is totally a hands on experience.
Duties of Captain: The Captain and Mate will lend instruction in boat handling, anchoring, sail changes, and all aspects of seamanship when needed. Navigation and itinerary are up to the guests, however, the captain has final say in all matters effecting the safety of the yacht, equipment and all passengers.
Please note that night sailing in the Islands is not recommended due to the extensive reef system. Due to Coast Guard regulations, operation of the dingy by guests may be restricted.
Guests will be actively involved in provisioning (service is available at minimal cost), stowing of provisions, all meal preparation and clean-up. Guests partake in all boat handling under guidance of captain and mate .
Additional Costs to Guests:
1. Fuel & water: Approximately $85-125/week depending on your level of consumption.
